Dear Zerodha Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
I would like to inquire about the type of my current Zerodha account. Could you
please confirm whether my account is classified as a Non-BSDA account? If it is
indeed a Non-BSDA account, I would appreciate it if you could provide the
reasons for this classification.
Additionally, I would like to know the process for converting my account to a
BSDA (Basic Services Demat Account) to avoid maintenance charges, provided my
holdings meet the necessary criteria.
I look forward to your guidance on this matter.
I received your
response regarding my account status, and I would like to clarify a
discrepancy. As per the CDSL statement, it is mentioned that my Zerodha account
is a (BSDA). However, based on your recent reply, it appears my
account is not classified as BSDA.
To assist in resolving
this, I have attached the CDSL statement for your review. Please look into this
and confirm whether my account should indeed be classified as a BSDA. (कृपया इस पर ध्यान दें और पुष्टि करें कि क्या मेरा खाता वास्तव में BSDA के रूप में वर्गीकृत किया जाना चाहिए।) If my account meets the BSDA criteria
(holding value under ₹4,00,000 and only one Demat account registered under my
PAN), I would kindly request you to convert my account to a BSDA to avoid the
annual maintenance charges (AMC).
Looking forward to
your prompt resolution.
Please be informed that We are coordinating
with the concerned department and will revert you . We appreciate your patience
and cooperation in this regard.
Please get in touch with us if you need any other information through our support
team.
We noticed that the consolidated account
statement attached to your ticket is from the month of September. It's possible
that your account status has recently changed to BSDA (Basic Services Demat
Account), which may not yet reflect in your Zerodha account.
The status in your account will be updated once we receive the update file from
CDSL. We kindly request your patience during this process.
Previously, your account was not BSDA, which is why the status shown in Kite is
based on earlier updates. The account’s updated status will reflect on our
system once CDSL sends us the new file. After the next cycle, your account
should be converted to BSDA, and the AMC will be charged as per the BSDA slabs.
I am following up regarding the update for my
account status. It has been over two months since I received the CDSL update
for September, and despite the passage of October and almost all of November,
my account status still reflects incorrect information.
This ongoing delay is causing significant inconvenience. I kindly urge you to
prioritize this update and provide a clear timeline for when the correct status
will be reflected.
Your prompt attention to this matter would be highly appreciated. I look forward
to your immediate action and a resolution at the earliest.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
